Help us add 50 adoptions before December 31!

A Year of Unprecedented Impact

This year has showcased the Ontario County Humane Society's comprehensive approach to animal welfare. As a no-kill shelter, OCHS has not only provided compassionate care and found homes for nearly 100 animals, but has also demonstrated exceptional commitment to animal protection through enforcement activities. The organization is on pace for 30 arrests this year related to animal cruelty cases—far above normal activity for a county of Ontario County's size—reflecting their dedication to both rescue and prevention.

"Our mission has always been to make our community better for both people and animals," said Kurt Koczent Board President. "This year exemplifies our values of 'Protect & Connect.' We've responded to numerous large-scale cases, bringing our current census to 101 animals, while simultaneously pursuing justice for animals through our enforcement efforts. Now we're asking our community to help us achieve our best adoption year ever."

Holiday Adoption Incentives

To reach their goal of 150+ total adoptions this year, OCHS is offering special "Home for the Holidays" incentives throughout November:

• FREE adoptions for Active Duty Military, Veterans, and First Responders – honoring those who serve our community • 50% off adoption fees for all other Ontario County residents – making pet ownership accessible to more families

Every adopted animal comes spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped, ensuring they're ready to start their new life healthy and safe.

Community Partnership for Success

The "Clear the Kennel" campaign reflects OCHS's vision of focusing on all animal well-being, care, and education. As the leading resource for animal welfare in Ontario County, they're committed to improving the community for all—both the animals in their care and the families who welcome them home.

The campaign runs November 1st through December 31st, with weekend adoption events, social media spotlights featuring available pets, and community partnerships to maximize visibility for the 101 animals currently awaiting their forever homes.
